    Owen for Free

If he's free as you say--29 years old and proven world class as you guys know he is, it's a gamble I'd certainly take.
He's got that special gift which can turn a game around. I reckon if you got 20 games a season out of him he'd get 10 or 12 goals in any squad in any league in the world.

    • Haven't seen him play recently so its hard to comment on how good he is but i agree he could definitely play a role if fit (and if he knows his place in the pecking order and drops his wages accordingly).

Just don't want another Harry Kewell situation where a players getting huge amounts for underperforming in only a handful of games a season. £5m looked like a bargain when he arrived but he never worked. If Owen drops his wage then that would show how much he wants to play for us (or at least compete for trophies).

I personally think he'll end up at Arsenal.
