I'm not saying that real are likely to be interested in Babel, but he might do better in La Liga, and he makes more of an attractive option than Voronin, Degen etc? I think that RVN would move for free, seeing as the money they would save on his wages would represent quite a financial windfall on its own.
So for me, Babel and a small fee (£2 million) in echange for VDV and RVN seems like a peachy little deal.
We lose a talented player who doesn't seem able or interested in performing for us, we gain a very good backup striker who is happy to rest those ageing legs on the bench, gaurantees goals, and a very talented midfielder who could become a sensational signing!
Unlike Morientes, we know RVN can cut it in the prem (or at least WAS capable of cutting it).
