    Is Kenny done?

Dsteer what I am is a frustrated LFC fan who feels it's about time we started destroying teams on a regular basis..

Thats the team I remember.. This is isn't the LFC I knew and loved as a boy.

We seem to be accepting mediocre football and think it's fine and make excuses..
Stuff like "we're doing better", "we're improving", Improving from what? We were getting 4th place in the league for a few seasons..

So tell me how is losing games and not scoring goals that we get on target improving?

    Tell me how?

Maybe yes I'm impatient, only because I love LFC passionately, and yearn for the glory days where teams feared us.
It's laughable when I get called a manc or stupid shit like that..

    • Armchair what you call excuses most people see as reality.

Sit down for a second and just remember the state of the club was in at the end of the H&G era. I don't care if you blame Rafa or the Yanks for where we were, but the facts are we were a club in almost free fall.

Many of our top players like Alonso, Masch were running for the exits, followed by Torres. They could see the club was not investing so wanted to move on to clubs that did not just talk about ambition, but actually invested in the future. Net spending was negative, and league position falling. Under Roy we were a gnat’s hair off the relegation zone. The only players willing to come to us were those on free transfers that few if anyone else wanted, but who still demanded high wages.

So explain why pointing out that we've progressed from where we were, not to where we want to be eventually, but at least a step forward is an excuse? And again explain how from where we were you expect us to progress further than any other club in recent history, and do it by spending less than those who have tried to progress with a hefty use of cash?

    • Armchair, the definition of 'improving' is being better than what you were......the football we play is a million miles away from the negative cr@p we had to put up with when Hodgson was manager, the club is stable, as you rightly say we've got a few quid and we are not going to be booted out of Europe coz of breaking financial fair play rules, and we do have - whatever you think about it - got some silverware in the cabinet.

If the FA Cup joins it, then assuming that everyone knew we weren't going to win the league, then we have had an ultra successful season because we will have won everything that we realistically could. Big ifs again but I think it is more than possible for us to win the FA Cup. This could be a truly great season! If we win the double, it will really stand those underperforming players (and we all know who they are) in good stead, because success becomes a habit.

Last night will benefit us in the long run because they will realise that you cannot switch off for one moment in the league, or you get butchered every time!

What is one more year? We've been in the wilderness for 5 years and getting rid of Kenny now would mean that this project has not been seen through. He needs to get more quality in this summer. We've been promised quality by Comolli, lets see if it happens.

      • loki...this guy armchair is a chump....realistically what could we expect from Kennys first fullseason in charge trying to get many new players to gel in a squad ? FA CUP AND CARLING CUP would be a magnificent double.
Benitez had six years...Kenny is taking us in the right direction , he is a good tactician and knows his players must play quality football...we NEED two good widemen, natural wingers to provide some service for our frontmen Carrol Suarez and Kuyt THEN we can expect to see a bigger tally in the goals fro column of course if the kitty from the owners were to run to bringing in a certain striker from Napoli end of this season then maybe we lmight just be looking at a very serious Title challenge..Armchair is hot and cold throwing his toys out the pram every time we lose...of courser its frustrating right after putting Stoke outwe lose to QPR ,??? giving away 3 goals in lmast 15 mins...BUT ...these players must learn what it takes in terms of staying the course to win a League Title and Kenny needs to read certain of th squad the Riot Act ...100% EFFORT FROM NOW TILL END OF SEASON OR YOU ARE DOWN THE ROAD boys !!!
