I'd take his money, but agree the rest of what he brings I'd rather do without. Put it this way, if Roman was our owner we'd not have discussions about whether Carroll or Henderson were good buys and should Kenny, DC or anyone else be accountable for them, because when it comes to big transfers Roman buys based on his personal whim rather than trust managers or directors of football to take responsibility.
Yes thats too true Steer.. Abramovich would buy players he likes thehn tell the manager make it work .. If he can't the manger is usually the one fired..
Abramovich is a hostile owner in the sense that he doesn't trust the manager (who he hires to do the job of managing the team).. Which I thought is the point of a manager? You hire a proffessiional manager who knows how to buy players, and selects them for the seccess he feels would be best for the club..
Thing is as our owners become more knowledgeable about football would they do the same? We've seen that they didn't trust KD in the long term.
Granted they gave him far more time than Abramovich did. As Abramovich would've sacked KD in the first few months if he didn't like the results he was seeing..
