    Prediction Oct 20/21 & 27/28

It is disappointing that someone has dropped out, but I am determined to make this prediction game more interesting.

    1 Hobs 47+10 = 57
    2 Kuen 39+8 = 47
    3 Chong 39+5 = 44
    4 Ricky 36 + 8 = 44
    5 Brad 33 + 10 = 43
    6 Vuvu 36 + 6 = 42
    7 Noo Noo 30 + 10 = 40
    8 Squirl 24 + 4 = 28
    9 Redrob 16 + 5 = 21

Hobs is still doing well with 10 pts this week, mainly because he has got the perfect score in 3 games. Brad is another one getting 10 pts, thanks to the 4 pts from the two Sunday games. NooNoo got the most number of perfect scores, in 4 games.

Arsenal's loss to Norwich is the game surprised everyone, no one has got any pt from this game. All of us predicted it right for Fulham winning over Villa. Believe it or not, two of us predicted City to have lost or drawn with WBA.

I hope this analysis will help you all in the predictions for the following week. Good Luck.

There are a few tight games this week. Most eye catching ones are Chelsea v United and the Mersyside Derby. To make up the 10 pts gaps with Hobs, we have to get the difficult games right, such as mid-table clash of Stoke/Sunderland and survival fight of Villa/Norwich.

    Aston Villa V Norwich
    Arsenal V QPR
    Reading V Fulham
    Stoke V Sunderland
    Wigan V West Ham
    Man City V Swansea
    Everton V Liverpool
    Newcastle V West Brom
    Southampton V Tottenham
    Chelsea V Man Utd

      • Still haven't got off the bottom, but lads remember I was a late starter. Anyway here goes

        Aston Villa V Norwich 1-2
        Arsenal V QPR 2-1
        Reading V Fulham 1-2
        Stoke V Sunderland 2-0
        Wigan V West Ham 2-2
        Man City V Swansea 3-1
        Everton V Liverpool 2-2
        Newcastle V West Brom 2-1
        Southampton V Tottenham 1-3
        Chelsea V Man Utd 2-2

      • "Is a shame Dsteer, Robert and Jason dont do this anymore..."

I never did, except one week when I scored eight points which I thought jolly credible. Extrapolated over the season I am sure I would have won hands down :)

Anyway, I have a theory about this. I think it's generally not advisable predicting big scores. Even if you think eg City will stuff eg QPR you're more likely to be correct with a modest 1-0 or 2-1 than trying to guess a 5-0. But I can't prove it.

The exception to this is United v Wigan. That's always 4-0. Well, not always, but remarkably frequently. Mark my words.

    • Here are my predictions for this week. Let's try to close the gap with Hobs. He has a comfortable enough lead to stay top until at least Christmas though.

      Aston Villa V Norwich 2 - 1
      Arsenal V QPR 3 - 1
      Reading V Fulham 1 - 1
      Stoke V Sunderland 2 - 1

      Southampton V Tottenham 1 - 2

And spursbabe it's not always possible to hit the ground running but I expect to be right back in the mix by the turn of the year. lol We shall see come May.
