    • Yes Championship fusbol vs WBA is a certanty..I wonder if they will get 6 points off us next year..it is 'fing' embarrasing to watch at times this year...I love Boro and cant wait for the next game to come around but....Southgate...for the love of Pete...go already...please er sir..?!?

    • lets hope we dont get relagated into the championship. i mean would we be good enough for the championship.. i think gs will be sacked within the next 2-3 games. no sorry he wont get sacked will he,he will resign. sooner he goes the better...and he should take some of the players with him...and backroom staff.

      • Having read your to posts borojolly I have come to the conclusion you must be on strong medication, if not you should be .... you are delusional. I agree 'Joe Public', or should that be 'Joe Smoggie', pays to see a good performance but as for filling Steve Gibson's pockets, you have to be joking. Boro as a company runs at a loss and were it not for Gibson's financial support from his own hard earned personal fortune Boro would be launguishing in the lower divisions now. Secondly as to whether Boro are good enough for the Championship, who knows? If they were relegated there would be a mass clearout of the more valuable players and a new team of grafters formed to get them back into the Premiership and it certainly wouldn't be pretty to watch. I say it again, and I'll continue to say it, Southgate needs an experienced old campaigner to support him through to the end of the season. This investment of probably £500k would be money well spent by Gibson as there's not many players of quality available for that sort of spend who could turn things around.

    • I have seen some criticism of Steve Gibson in my time, but to accuse him of having no guts is beyond the pale. One only has to look at some other clubs and see the Chairman's prediliction to fire a manager on the strength of a run of losses and see that it takes conviction and 'guts' to stick by a guy. Just remember, its his money after all, not some plc, and he who pays the piper calls the tune. Southgate doesn't need the sack, he needs experienced assistance and that is my criticism of Gibson.

      • agree that its not gibsons fault..but its the joe public that pays for a good show..so that fills gibsons pockets doesnt it. although steve gibson is a nice person. he now needs to show gs and other future managers that he will not accept failure. this wouldnt happen at say man u would it. steve if your looking for a manager,i can help. i dont have football experience though. if you cut corners in a job then things go wrong dont they, and thats whats happened here. inexperienced manager??? loads of losses.

      • I don't think anybody can really criticize Steve Gibson, the early Bryan Robson wonderful period proved that and what Steve did for the club. He's still the best chairman in the country by a long mile.
But I have said before, as with Robson and now Southgate he can be over loyal and that can be disastrous.
