Thers no denying they have gone on the cheap, and theres no prospect of incoming 'help' I tend to think that Southgaff has written this season off and is going to blame lack of funds for no promotion ( if he lasts that long). As for less income from advertising we are now on apar with B the Synners for advertising in the ground, now we have gone back to boards all round the pitch and a scoreboard you can only read in thre dark - fans still shortchanged with both the team and all else
Personally I don't think that this is Southgate's decision. The players will have clauses in their contracts that allow them to leave, should they wish, in the event of relegation. You can't blame the players for wanting to leave either, they want to be playing in the top leagues.
There is money there as the Premier league give all clubs a 'parachute' payment when they are relegated, combine this with the sales and wage bill reduction it sets the club up financially as we don't want a repeat of liquidation do we!
I think we have a good crop of young determined players, local lads who deserve to be given a chance. Whether they can get us back to the Premiership is another question though...

I agree, the local lads should be given a chance, if we go up great..if not we will be better prepared next season. Letting go the likes of Tuncay & Huth will give the younger lads a chance to shine, what they need is first team games under their belts something that wasn't happening last season.
