Bolton Wanderers Message Board
Top 3 finish would be great and arguably and sadly the best progress we can now hope for. The FA cup would be a nice consolation price.
I would take top 3 over FA cup and 4th. I think a top 3 would help in the summer recruitment since it guarantees CL football and top players nowadays tend to want that guarantee. I hate waiting till the after CL pre-qualifying to see if we sign top players.
Having said that 5th at this point is as likely as 3rd or 2nd IMO. At least no more pointless CL football to tire our squad.
Mancrapper Ushyted DUMPED out of the FA Cup despite trying their best attempts to dive and cheat their way through the match, and Danny Welbeck scoring the winner...MAGIC!!!
Once again David de Gea kept the scoreline respectable, Mancrapper Ushyted were lucky to lose 1-2.
Where's that old tranny Butch these days? - LMFAO!!!! No FA Cup for Ugly van Gallstones, Mancrapper Ushyted and their SHYTE fanbase.
Arsenal do seem to get more than their fair share of injuries.......Just unlucky or something else like not resting players when they show very early signs? I would not have thought so but Wenger knew Ozil was playing with a niggle and did not force him to rest (Ozil said he wanted to carry on)!
All's okay with me, Lotto, same with you I hope---can't say the same about Pools. None league football for the 1st time in a 100 years coming up.
Haven't bothered with the boards recently, anything interesting anywhere or same old.
I don't know if its the same with anybody else, but if you don't scratch your head and wonder about the almost unexplainable, such as the Arsenal team itself, then you know more than I do, because to try and explain their never ending ups and downs in performances has now become a subject that even has the media scratching their heads. Tell me someone please, how is it that a team can play another off the park and still lose. Then almost in the same week, come out and comfortably beat a top European side in one of the most competitive football competitions in the world ?? That to me at least is indeed simply psychological. It has to me. One can almost make a case for sheer bad luck ( once again we are left without another key player for 3months) but surely not continues bad luck? Meanwhile I will continue not to get too downhearted about something that it almost becoming a regular occurrence.
A handy 3 points? Having seen the game my opinion is, as most team are struggling against so called inferior sides, this was a good result given the 'shut them out at all costs' methods adopted by the afore mentioned. It isn't the Arsenal's or the Man C's that cant play their game of football, they aren't allowed to play 'football' any longer. Its just a game of tactics. How the hell does Sunderland side hold Chelsea to a draw, if not by adopting the 'shut them out at all costs attitude'.? And that includes knocking them down with tackles that are killing off good players for long periods of time. If the perpetrator is only going to get a yellow(on average) for it, what chance do top teams have when they are p-laying with the 'handicap' of fear. Worth a thought when your a struggling team trying to stay alive in the PL where the money is.
Good to see....
..... that, as usual, you fail to notice that YOU are completely ignored on here, except by the Geordie child!
Guess this was a fair result. Not impressed with the way this game was managed by Wenger. Why not give Campbell a chance at some point? Three small players like Carzorla, Rosicky and Alexis where never likely to bother the Southampton defense. 4th will be harder than many think and I still don't think we will finish 4th this season. And the bad news is that we didn't lose this game in defensive midfield. We were just out played by a better prepared side and more disciplined side.
The intelligence of a Cairns Cave Dweller....."EEERRRRHHHH! wat wos dat ?????
Last heard on the Arsenal board grunting an apology....

Independent News; Article by Jack Pitt-Brookes.
Danny Welbeck felt a sense of vindication Wed. night after scoring his first hat-trick.........
Welbeck has scored 6 goals for club and country since £16 million move from Manchester. When asked about his goal scoring record Wed. night ...the England International said criticism didn't matter if they applied to his years playing on the wing of a four man midfield. " Nobody can really criticise my finishing because they don't see me playing in a forward position too often." Welbeck said " but now I am getting into those positions I want to be sticking the ball in the back of the net. Obviously people can say I've not scored enough goals. But stick the best striker on the wing in a four man midfield and see if they score goals........"
Kind of shoots your square headed thinking down in flames, doesn't it. But of course how silly of me to think that your kind will not twist that around to suit your own purposes. So lets be having it. Lets see you twist and squirm your way of that Butch the alcoholic brown family. and BTW I'll let the Man U board know as well OK? Save you the bother...... Feeling a bit sickened are we? Never mind a few more tins down your neck and you'llbegin to feel even worse...AAARRRRRHH! Less

Old Granny Butch has always turned to Google and used Wiki in a vain attempt to argue her points and look remotely intelligent.
It's just such a shame that it's never fooled anybody, just like any of the long history of jackanory stories which she has come out with for the best part of a decade, for example, the 'chinning Lee Bowyer' episode and the numerous inconsistencies in what actually happened when she was spinning that little yarn.
All gob and idle threats, that's the oldest wooly woofter in Cairns for you.
Cue the 'geordie' comments in her bites! - LMFAO!!!
There was an article about Fellaini at first being deemed surplus to requirements and now seemingly back into the grace of Van Gaal. Van Gaal seems to have learned that you can not only have technically gifted players in the PL but that you also need physically imposing players. Matic has been huge for Chelsea.
Since the departure of Vieira and Gilberto we have never really had an impsing midfield presence let alone an intimidating DM. Arteta is neither a natural DM nor physically imposing and Flamini is running out of runway and not an imposing player. How come Wenger fails to see in 10 years what Van Gaal appears to realize inside of 10 games.
After the draw at West Brom, Van Gaal conceded that he may have to adapt his own philosophy a little as he continues to learn about English football.
'We have to look also for physical talents and maybe that's our problem,' said Van Gaal in explaining his decision to leave out Ander Herrera.
'I'm a coach who is always thinking about creative players but in England you also need physical bodies in your team and Fellaini is one of these.'
Its 4th place that Wenger will cling onto. He hopes. His real agenda is the CL. title. One he came close to or was robbed of which ever way you want to look at it. I think he is intent on pulling another rabbit out of his magic hat and hopefully nicking a win as L'pool did and Chelsea a while back when no one expected them to. Its the only title Wenger wants to finish his career with. Don't hold your breath, but stranger things have happened in football. As Manure can attest to when they pinched two goals in the last minute against Bayern, to win it.
So libel, wasting police time as well as the offence you have been reported for. Do you have screenshots never mind now that Police are involved they will request all my yahoo posts , as they will yours.
We had better not post to each other again. Keep larfin
Wilshere has been injured since, what, October? Until he has a good stretch of games but no improvement I maintain he has bags of potential. Until his latest injury, his form had been decent, though inconsistent. He looked like he had improved on last year. He's also only just turned 23, so he's got plenty of time to sort himself out. I don't think you can really write off a footballer's career until at least late 20s and even then some players make extraordinary leaps in the space of just a few months. But with his profile from an early age, I accept Wilshere really is running out of time to keep himself fit, show some form and actually develop as a player.
I will agree several things with anyone:
1) he's clearly a stupid little khunt, though that's basically par for a PL footballer
2) if he keeps getting injured potential, etc is entirely meaningless. RVP managed multiple seasons with injury after injury, but I don't think we have the patience for that with Wilshere.
3) he shouldn't be walking into the England team just because he's Wilshere, a press darling and has "potential". He does actually have to do something.
But I've seen nothing to discourage my belief that (a) he is highly talented and has all the right attributes to be the best English midfielder over the next decade (I actually think Wilshere and Henderson could be a formidable partnership and (b) his skills are almost unique amongst English footballers where we have an overflow of physical grafters, which makes him a footballer of the future rather than of the past.
All that being said, his attitude stinks and his rate of development over the last few years is extremely disappointing.
I guess the reason this board is so empty is partly because there is nothing new to say about Arsenal that has not been said for the last 7 or 8 years.
It can happen you have a poor game, although it happens far too often to a team with out talent, but with a few leaders on the pitch last night does not happen. To me we lacked leaders more than anything, Leaders would have stopped this running around like a headless chicken and taken a 2-0 or 2-1 defeat.
We have too many players who go missing in the big games and to me Giroud has always been one of them. He is ok against smaller teams but he has very little technique and control.
I thought Ozil was not as bad as the press made him out and many of his passes got wasted by his team mates, but he will never be defensively what Sanchez is. He is a liability for a team with weak defending.

I said it was harsh to judge his scoring ability based on the fact he was played out wide mostly at Man United, but it is way too early to judge him either way yet. We will have a clearer idea of what sort of striker he is for Arsenal at the end of the season, and I will reserve judgment until after maybe his second season, as the prem is filled with one season wonders and flops.
Once England started playing him upfront we saw what he was capable of, but the reality is Man United have been alot better than England for some time, and competition upfront meant he had to go. Fact is he has immense power, pace, technique and works hard for the team. I said if he gets a run upfront (which he has never had) and gets his confidence up he will develop into a real force of nature.
