As soon as I saw our team sheet and figured out how it would set up, be it 4-4-2 or even 4-4-1-1, with Suarez slightly withdrawn, I knew we'd be in trouble because I remembered exactly how Villa took us last year at Anfield, and did the exact same thing masterfully. This was the worst performance at home, since Southampton, where I sat in agony for 90 mins, only there, we had 0 fullbacks.

4-4-2 is for teams in the bottom half, content to lump it up, OR have insanely good wingers and central midfield, see City - Yaya/Fernandinho, Navas/Silva.

To be fair to Lucas, for the 20" he lasted, and the change it represented, we saw the value of playing to our strength of 3 players in the midfield, and he's not even that good, so that speaks volumes. Fortunately Allen looked healthy, so now if Lucas is really injured, we have Allen, who I think is vital.

Coutinho isn't a winger, and he can't race down the side, so he's always cutting in, and Cissokho, for all his efforts, just isn't good, and only 1 leg, so no width there, and Glenda just gets continually worse.

If Skrtel hadn't played today, I'd have thought we played a 0 man backline, because Toure wasn't at the races, Glenda/Cissokho are terrible, and I counted 6 clear chances, where Villa could have humiliated / torn us apart, with Skrtel making the last ditch slide tackle or clearance. The fact in other forumns I see, people suggest dropping him, or playing two lefties, is baffling.

Henry was sat right there, and looked to be about as agonized as I felt in Sept., or on my couch today, and hopefully that sparks whatever they're doing/looking at, as far as midfield, to get done. We lost out on Jorginho to Napoli for 9M, which was a joke, M'vila is out there and would join.. Doing nothing, or waiting for the "right player", will cost BR / FSG far more in the long run by missing Champions League & losing Suarez, than spending now. Great players cost $$ Chelsea of all teams added ANOTHER good CDM, in Matic for 22M!!

With or without my 'permission', she still made you look stupid, so if it's any comfort to you that I gave her permission to do it, go for it!

"Your replies aren't worth the time typing them Rikk."

Not a very good start there, Paddy, YOU didn't type them, I did.
    .

"I gave you the opportunity to at least debate something"

I think you'll find it was ME who gave YOU the opportunity, whilst you insisted on asking a hypothetical question that had nothing to do with the subject at hand .... according to you.
    .

"your replies are nothing more than put downs"

    For 'put downs' read 'facts'.

    .
"and answering questions that haven't been asked"

You mean NOT answering questions that HAVE been asked.

    .

No wonder you're the laughing stock of the board, you act as though no-one can read what you've posted, and if they can, they don't understand the hidden meanings behind your words.

I see this 'quiz' is too tough for the trolls.

  • He asks a question about French troops on British soil.

I refuse to answer a hypothetical question that he wishes to associate with the IRA.

He claims the question has nothing to do with the IRA, and that he's asking because he is interested in my opinion, he accuses me of 'making up an answer to fit another question'.

I then pointed out that that was exactly what he was doing, asking about French troops so he could associate that with the IRA.

His answer to this was, "No I'm not Rikk...It's a straight forward question,"

A straight forward question, nothing to do with the IRA, and nothing to do with Northern Ireland ..... yeah, right!

    He then says ......

"I'll put the question to you again...How would you react if FOREIGN troops were patrolling your city every day (English troops are NOT Irish , therefore foreign !)........how would you react to it?"
    .

    Can you believe that???

"No I'm not Rikk...It's a straight forward question," ..... LIAR!

    .

So let's lay down some FACTS that Paddy doesn't like ....

Northern Ireland is a separate country within the United Kingdom.

England, Wales and Scotland are also a countries within the United Kingdom, therefore, English, Welsh and Scottish troops are NOT foreign troops when serving in Northern Ireland.

The majority of the citizens of Northern Ireland want things to stay as they are.

The IRA represent a minority of the citizens of Ireland in many places, including .... Dáil Éireann, Seanad Éireann, House of Commons, European Parliament (Northern Ireland), Northern Ireland Assembly, Local government in Northern Ireland, Local government in the Republic of Ireland, Údarás na Gaeltachta. .... in EVERY one they are a minority, they don't represent a majority of voters anywhere.

    Hi Jason

I agree with pretty much all of that. Only two things I'd slightly disagree with - I thought Toure had a good game - lots of last minute blocks - and I think Cissokho isn't terrible. He's a limited nuts & bolts full back (not wing back) who plays to his standard. I think the sad thing about GJ is that we know how good he can be. Surely he's playing with an injury.

Very much our worse display at home since Southampton. We've had three stinkers this season - Hull, Southampton & Villa. With the table so tight, we can't afford another one. Everton is a vital match now and is a must win. That's going to be difficult against a very good blues.

And why would he need that URL when he has this .... /mb/?bn=UKS-FO-manchester-united .... on his computer?

Yup, how did I know I'd get Walter Mitty biting within no time at all?

LMFAO - I'd really love to know when you've apparently made me look stupid 'hundreds' of times on here?

You're the one who has made ridiculous claims on numerous occasions that you're going to find individuals via their IP address or unleash the FBI upon people because they went and nicked one of their Yahoo ID's.

Face it tithead, everyone pulls your pants down, spanks your backside and leaves you red-faced on these boards, and they always have done.

I see that you're still arguing about Oruguntan spelling, check out sites like 'The Orangutan Foundation' etc etc etc not one of them use the hyphen spelling!

PS - I'm still waiting for these personal videos on youTube from beaches in Bali, so sad old ballsack.

    OINK OINK!

  • Vertonghen and Reid are coming back from injury, and good be a good cheap shout for a strong defence. Should we consider them for next weekend.?

Villa played 4 in midfield but they weren't flat. That meant that they were always finding space between our lines. No doubt the team set up was wrong and done so to fit Suarez and Sturridge. Lucas? I seriously have my doubts

    Rodgers has problems to solve.

    1. A midfield that isn't strong enough and
    2. How to accommodate Suarez and Sturridge.

Both need sorting to a degree this month in my opinion. If Everton turn over West Brom on Monday we slip out of the top 4. So yesterday was not a good day at the races at all.

FYI, Walter Mitty the Orunugutan banger 'idiot' - if you look, you were the one biting within minutes of me replying to some ridiculous message which you'd posted on January the 25th.

You claimed that you and Yahoo (we) had people banned from these forums, then you try your best to squirm out of it when you've been exposed (yet again) as a liar and made to look stupid.

Once again your pants have been pulled down around your ankles and your fat old behind has been spanked stupid until it's bright red, face it, you've been OWNED BY A GEORDIE again!!! ROTFFLMLFAO!!!!

You really are one stupid old Man Ushyted douchebag!
