Help me choose a Premier League Team to Follow

In my case, I found a team with my wife's maiden name. Hence, the Bolton Wanderers have a fan in Los Angeles. My UK friends find this quite humorous, but give me at least a little credit for creativity. And I must say, given Bolton's ups and downs these past few seasons, they provide a similar level of exasperation that I previously enjoyed (?) with my hometown Detroit Lions.

One other benefit of being a Bolton supporter is that when I wear my jersey I do not look like a billboard for multinational insurance companies, Korean electronics manufacturers, Arab airlines, obscure websites, or a whole host of businesses nobody in the US has ever heard of. You might want to take that into consideration too.

  • Obviously we have all been disappointed by the horrible start to the season, but hopefully, per Nicky Hunt's comments below, the team has not given up:

Hunt is convinced they can turn it around in the league, saying: "Our position in the table does not reflect the quality of players we have at the club.

"This is the best squad we have had in the Premier League.

"We did not start well but all the new boss wants is for us to finish as high as we can. Who says we cannot qualify for Europe again?"

Let's all stand strong behind this team and see if they can deliver on Nicky's strong words.

  • If Aris, Bayern and Braga all end up with 6 points, does anyone know the tie-breaker to decide the top three teams from Group F?
