Toughest EPL Yet ( and 2.3M)

And it's also rumoured that we may be about to hyjack that move by paying 5.7m (matching 8m - 2.3m). That will be an additional attacker in the team. Since the transfer window has opened, I am hoping that we should start to see some outward movements soon. We are overloaded with attacking midfielders now..and I am not sure if that is sustainable.

  • From Guillem Balague - Luis Alberto (Barcelona B) is the other Spanish player that is about to agree to join Liverpool. A midfielder in the Xavi/Iniesta mould. He can play midfield/forward and is on loan from Sevilla. So it wasnt in the hands of FCB. Great buy by Liverpool

    From Wikipedia:

A product of Sevilla FC's youth ranks, Luis Alberto spent his first two seasons as a senior with the B team in the third division, scoring 15 goals in his second. On 16 April 2011 he made his first-team – and La Liga – debut for the Andalusians, replacing another club youth graduate, Rodri, in the second half of a 0–1 away loss against Getafe CF.

In August 2012 Luis Alberto was loaned to FC Barcelona B in a one-year deal, with the Catalans having the option to make the move permanent at the end of the season. He made his official debut on 2 September, playing two minutes in a 2–0 home win over CE Sabadell FC.

No one has mentioned this guy. I think he could do the job for us. He is unlikely to have playing time at Chelsea since they are linked with the Falcaos of this world. If he was available, how much would he cost....and would he fit into what we are building?

    Predictions - 16 & 17 March 2013

    A Yahoo! User Mar 13, 2013 13:42 Flag

Sorry Noo Noo and Ricky. I had not clicked to see you predictions. Given below is the revised tables taking into account your predictions. I shouldn't have bothered revising the table. Now Colyn has overtaken me again:

    Hobs 166 + 5 = 171
    Brad 151 + 6 = 157
    Kuen 146 + 0 = 146
    NooNoo (Colyn) 138 + 3= 141
    Vuvu 135 + 4 = 139
    Chong 128 + 1 = 129
    Ricky 123 + 5 = 128
    Rebrob 108 + 0 = 108

Rick please remember to post your predictions.

  • Noo Noo (Colyn) forgot to post his predictions after ‘stealing my thunder’. The other colleagues must have thought that the board would misbehave again. That has helped me to sneak into CL positions, exactly what LFC will do at the end of the season.

    Hobs 166 + 5 = 171
    Brad 151 + 6 = 157
    Kuen 146 + 0 = 146
    Vuvu 135 + 4 = 139
    NooNoo 138 + 0 = 138
    Chong 128 + 1 = 129
    Ricky 123 + 0 = 123
    Rebrob 108 + 0 = 108

    Next predictions:

    Everton v ManCity, 1 - 3
    Swansea v Arsenal, 2 - 2
    Aston Villa v QPR, 2 - 1
    Southampton v LFC, 1 - 3
    Stoke v West Brom, 0 - 1
    ManU v Reading, 5 - 0
    Sunderland v Norwich, 2 - 0
    Spurs v Fulham, 2 - 0
    Chelsea v West Ham, 3 - 1
    Wigan v Newcastle, 1 - 0

    Predictions 9 - 10 March 2013

    by A Yahoo! User Mar 7, 2013 10:56
    A Yahoo! User Mar 7, 2013 12:59 Flag

In that case, the following is the revised table:

    Hobs 158 + 8 = 166
    Brad 145 + 6 = 151
    Kuen 138 + 8 = 146
    NooNoo 132 + 6 = 138
    Vuvu 126 + 9 = 135
    Chong 121 + 7 = 128
    Ricky 123 + 0 = 123
    Rebrob 108 + 0 = 108

  • Thanks to those who did not participate, I am now in a Champions League position. Now gunning for Kuen. And who has posted as Colyn by the way? If it's any of the regular participants, we will reallocate.

    Hobs 158 + 8 = 166
    Brad 145 + 6 = 151
    Kuen 138 + 8 = 146
    Vuvu 126 + 9 = 135
    NooNoo 132 + 0 = 132
    Chong 121 + 7 = 128
    Ricky 123 + 0 = 123
    Rebrob 108 + 0 = 108
    Colyn 0 + 6 = 6

The weekend matches, I am hoping for a Spurs thrashing tonight against Inter Milan so they come into the match on Sunday on a low.

    QPR v Sunderland, 2 - 1
    Reading v Aston Villa, 1 - 2
    WBA v Swansea, 2 - 2
    Norwich v Southampton, 1 - 2
    Newcastle v Stoke, 1 - 1
    LFC v Spurs, 2 - 1

    Stoke v West Ham 1-2
    Chelsea v WBA 3-1

On this thread, no one has talked about Enrique at LB? Is there something we should read into that snub?

  • Brad has lost his midas touch, Hobs is running away with it, I again one spot up. Now gunning for a CL slot. NooNoo look out.

    Hobs 142 + 6 = 148
    Brad 136 + 2 = 138
    Kuen 129 + 3 = 132
    NooNoo 118 + 6 = 124
    Vuvu 114 + 7 = 121
    Chong 115 + 4 = 119
    Ricky 111 + 7 = 118
    Redrob 99 + 5 = 104

    9 – 11 Feb fixtures (difficult ones).

    Spurs v Newcastle, 1 - 2
    Chelsea v Wigan, 2 - 1
    Norwich v Fulham, 2 - 2
    Stoke v Reading, 1 - 0
    Sunderland v Arsenal, 1 - 1

    LFC v West Brom, 3 - 0
