Where do we go from here?

Rofl @ Alladyce! Outstandin manager...but why would he want to come to the albion?? granted he complains about financial restrictions @ bolton, but that would be nuffin compared to our wonderful scrooge chairman.

For woteva reason, no top manager wants to come to the albion. look @ the last 20 yrs or so, they unveil managers n my 1st reply is usually "WHO???"

for me, jury is still out on Mowbs, i think he`s a bit ov an idealist rather than a realist, n realisticly we need to win games by woteva means!

AND for gods sake will somone let Chris Perry play!!! hes a damn good player yet hes left to rot whie Mowbs crys about no defenders

    Praying for Angel?

Lol im glad others have sussed Mowbrays tactics out cos he confuses the hell outta me!

    Whys he keep droppin Koren?
He keeps playin Chaplow and Carter, who are ok but only as back-up players.

Now Davies is out for the rest of the season, he`s panickin about no defenders....dont Chris Perry still play for us?? I thought he was better than McShane under Robson. Guess him n Mowbs dont get on as he aint even gonna get a chance to play.

And as for Angel....betta off wiv Hartson n Ellington!!

    Scrap the crazy penalties idea

    by Loz Mar 16, 2007 16:41
    A Yahoo! User Mar 17, 2007 06:42 Flag

Penalties in the league is a stupid idea.
If they wanna make football more entertain how about u get 4 points for a win if u score 5 more goals than the opposition. it`d stop teams goin 2-0 up n sittin back for the rest ov the game makin it dull n depressin and teams that are 4-0 down will keep fightin.

    Just a fort :o)

    FA cup predictions

Oooo tuff 1 to call, but i`ll say 2-1 to us (im the worlds worst @ football predictions lol)

  • Todays News Of The World reports he has told west brom he will quit in the summer even if we go straight back up, and wants to go to arsenal.
Aint he like contracted for 4 yrs??

If its true (and coming from the NotW thats debateable) id stick the cheeky sods #$%$ on the bench n let him rot for the rest ov his contract!

  • *looks around* where'd all the dingles go???
I think their silence kinda says it all :oD

  • by A Yahoo! User Jan 27, 2007 08:00 Flag

    Pascal Zuberbuhler back in goal!!!
We best start playin with a 9 man defence!!!

funny init? last year we had 2 outstanding keepers (granted 1 was on loan) n this year we`re left wiv Zube who couldnt catch a cold and Hoult, who in his day was a decent keeper for us, but hes well past his prime now.
And yet no mention of looking for a keeper in the transfer window.

    Away Kit

    by Mark Jan 25, 2007 21:36
    A Yahoo! User Jan 25, 2007 22:57 Flag

Sorry but seems to me like yet another excuse. A few weeks ago it was the coach trip that was causin the away "curse" so they jumped ona plane n still lost.

Talkin about the strip tho, its funny how the home strip has never really changed, its always been minor variations of the "traditional" blue n white stripes.
Yet look over the last few years at all the different away strips we`ve had since we stopped usin the traditional green n yellow. Maybe they lose away cos they change the away strip so much the players cant remember wot colour their team mates are playin in this week?

The board always go on about the clubs long tradition so why dont they stick to the traditional colours for the strip?
still...i guess its yet another money makin scheme to get us to buy half a dozen different replica away strips?

koumas.. best player outside the prem??

    by A Yahoo! User Jan 25, 2007 04:32
    A Yahoo! User Jan 25, 2007 06:35 Flag

Hes arguably our best player! wonder if Robson would still be in a job if he n koumas haddnt "fell out".
I know they so-called kissed n made up at the start ov the season but i think by then peace had told koumas that robbos days were numbered anyways.
i do think hes one of the best players outside the prem...am surprised we aint tried to sell him yet, or maybe peace is keeping him till the board need new cars!

    Ellington - stress

Lol i STILL live down the road, and ive been a baggies supporter as long as i can rememba, i even worked there! (n i wasnt on ellingtons wages either)!
I agree (as i stated in a previous thread) that players now have no pride in their team n just want money (n even when they get it can`t be arsed to play). Maybe thats why theres no "legends" in the game anymore.

Maybe players should be on "performance related" pay? ha ha How about strikers on peace-work?? Maybe ellington should be on a vastly reduced sick pay as hes so poorly??

    Nathan Ellington's Brace Against Preston

    by Mark Dec 28, 2006 03:53
    A Yahoo! User Jan 20, 2007 10:39 Flag

Well its easier to blame the manager, but if Peace wont give the manager the money, then he can only make do with wot he has. And if half of wot the manager has dont wanna play n noone else wants em then the sack seems somewot inevitable.
Id so love to know exactly wot was said between peace n robson when he left...bet it was exactly the same as the comments here.
Peace has brought stability to the club but seems at the cost of its ambition...or should i say the ability to reach its ambition.
    Question is...wots the answer?

I agree its not ever gonna happen, and yes i also agree if i was that unhappy and a bigger team wanted me and wanted to pay more money i would prolly go.
My objection is, last year it seemed a lot easier for certain players to just give up, and as soon as was religated slap in transfer requests sayin "want to play in the prem" before anyones even offered them a place elsewhere, rather than give all they had n do their best for their current employers who pay then stupid ammounts of money.
But unfortunately its the harsh reality of what football has become.. all about agents and money money money. Few players really care about the club they work for.

  • by A Yahoo! User Jan 10, 2007 10:11 Flag

Typical footballer! He puts in a transfer request (like others did too) cos he wants to play in the premiership and 1st chance he`s off.
Ahhh the joys of loyal players that want to play for a particular team. If they`d got their finger out last year they`d all STILL be in the prem!!
And if they get their away form to be half as good as their home form they will be in the prem next year and it`d be poetic justice if the hammers got religated n Quashie will be lookin for a new team again, and giving all that flannel again about wantin to play n help the club etc etc etc.
Like most players these days all theyre really bothered about is their bank accounts.

    How do we win away???

    by Will Jan 2, 2007 20:13
    A Yahoo! User Jan 3, 2007 09:10 Flag

You hear teams that are thrashin everyone say "we`re so used to winnin n its a good feelin"....unfortunately the albion are so used to losin away, they`ve done it remarkable well for the last few years.
We have, arguably, the best squad in the division but if the lads dont believe they can win away then they wont. instead of the confidence they get from playin at home, they`re hessitant...n that hessitation is costly!
So i think we need to bring somone in who is good enuff to make a difference, a bit of creative flair that can wake the team up a little rather than just grabbin somone just to make up the numbers.

As for Gera...he was quite happy bein a west brom player when he was long-term injured. i lost any respect for him when, as soon as he was fit, he wanted a transfer.....what a waste of time and money. His transfer was denied so he cant be bothered to perform...AND DONT WE ALL KNOW IT!

And i see the shock news that Ellington wants to go back to Wigan. Hardly surprising as he still lives there and has to travel down here all the time.

So i say sell Ellington n Gera and get somone decent with the money instead of wastin it or linin the boards pockets!
I guess this month is when we see wot Mowbray is really made of!

    Song for Hartson

    by Marcus Aug 15, 2006 23:56
    A Yahoo! User Dec 22, 2006 07:49 Flag

um.....has anyone actually deserved the "super" chant?? lol prolly best to keep it vacant for the forseeable future

  • What is it with the strikers @ the albion?? why can they score loads for anyone else??
Hartson...scored loads for Celtic..couldnt hit a barn door for us.
Ellington...useless for us, yet 2nd highest scorin player in his last yr @ wigan.
Phillips...has scored loads but looks lost for us.
And look @ players that have gone...
Kanu...scorin loads for pompey, why couldnt her for us?
Jason Roberts...waste of time yet scored loads for Wigan in his 1st year there
Ernshaw..(granted not given much ov a chance)..but again free-scorin for norwich.
I look back at all the years and i dont think we`ve had a good strike partnership since Andy Hunt n Bob Taylor!!!!

Wot on earth is the problem? even under diff managers its the same problem...why???

Well..talk now of Davis n Mowbry havin a "bust up" so he`ll definately be going.
I doubt we could even give Zube away, and as for Ellington, i`ll take his place...am sure i could miss as good as he does for his wages. And will somone put Hartson ona diet!!
Personally id like to see Davies stay, but i suppose it depends on wot Mowbry does wiv the money...jurys still out on him at the mo.
