    Liverpool get slated

Easier said than done. Aguero is happy at his current club. They are moving forward & becoming into a great team. I doubt Rafa will pay a huge amount for him but I admit a player of his ability would be more than welcome. He would fill the number '7' shirt no problem for us.

Totally agree with both comments. With another signing in the wide area I feel we can be very dangerous with the ball. Barry has fantastic workrate. Good work ethic. He keeps the ball. But i only feel it will work for us, if we can purchase a wide player who can run with the ball & also keep it. We lossed the ball in too many area's against the top sides, also our set piece's were dreadful this season, with barry coming in, he will doubt doubt bring an extra threat in that area.

I dont like Manchester united. But I dont like that comment you just made. Sour grapes if you ask me.

Surely a target thats realistic for us to get. Mark Hughes going to Man city, he has the freedom to leave the club for champions league football. Agree with most people he isn't on my top wish list, but no doubt he has quality, enough to improve Liverpool weaknesses in the wide area's? I think so. But my personal purchases are David Silva, Ricardo Quaresma or Bentley.

Just want a bit of a gossip about Bentley and what he can bring to our club. We are totally useless in set piece's and thats one area I feel we need to improve on. David can defo help us in those area's as well as providing good service for Torres with his 'Alonso' like pin point passing ability.

Like Ad says. It effects everyone. You might see a 4-4-2 formation at the start of the season due to Mascherano & Lucas are away. Which I feel is a positive to be honest. Im not worried about it. More optimistic and excited. Even though im a fan of the 4-2-3-1 formation. Might work to our advantage that we have to change a few things early on. Then when Mascherano & lucas & babel comes in, Like 3 new players. If you know what I mean.

Gerrard is quoted. We must make it count next season. The main reason is that we have been too far away from our challengers. He says he has faith in the squad to do it. But has also warned Rafa & the owners to spend quality in the squad.

Nothing more to say. We will see get closer to winning it? Can we improve on beating the big teams? Will we invest in the right players? What formation & system will we play? What youngster will we give a chance into the first team?

These are questions Im more interested about. Not your rant about Gerrard. I dont see why gerrard shouldnt say it if he did. Winning mentality.. is something we clearly lack. Maybe he is trying to send signals to players who need to pull there fingers out & step up there own game. Thought about that? Didnt think so.

I think Liverpool fans need to relax and just realise that there is Euro 2008 coming up. The transfer will explode after it. You will see Rafa getting the players he needs, as well as selling them. I know in the past Liverpool & Rafa has been far too slow in the market, but we have to think and if you people have a brain, most players do not want to leave there clubs until after the Euro's.

The english players we have been linked with, like Barry & bentley etc. the only reason why we havent got them is because they are holding out for higher prices. And negotitations are hard to do as the manager do not want to let there best player leave the club. Its so easy to say for us fans, just bid 15 odd million. If the footballing world was like computer games then Rushen & Diamonds would be in the final of the champions league.

The rumours will flood in during the Euro's. Targets will change due to performances from players who produce there qualities & price inflation will increase, that is clear and obvious.

Just wait and see. And hopefully we get the quality we need out in the wide area's & also clear replacements for players we sell.

    Are we a selling club?

One answer no we are NOT a selling club. We are just stupid if we sell Alonso. We just dont have enough ambition thats all. Not going for proven world class players. We will carry on the way we are unless, Rafa decides to pull his finger out as well as the owners and buy genuine quality. Simple as.

    which five english players

Realistic 5 english players I want in our squad.

    Carragher. Gerrard. Barry. Bentley. Crouch.

Providing IF Crouch leaves then Im not sure who the 5th person will be. Maybe Downing. But it needs to be someone. If the dossena deal doesnt go through then Wayne Bridge would be welcome addiction. Wright-Phillips wouldnt come to us in my opinion he is content at Chelsea. Maybe a return for Michael Owen to replace Crouch? Is Rafa interested in bringing in Darren bent?

Who knows. The rule will come in on the 2012 season I think (correct me if im wrong). So you probs wont see us even signing many english players. But lets wait and see.

Is it just me... I trying to be a smart person and trying to be a tool to anyone on this forum. But do you have FACTS that we dont have a budget? Agreed we got this lad Degen for a free transfer which does say something. I dont think our budget is huge. But I still feel there is a decent amount there, but obviously we need to sell players anyways due to them being not good enough or if Rafa are not in his plans for next season.

We all know what Rafa is like in transfer market, Rafa is like a Sniper. Keeps quiet & then strikes with a transfer or a transfer target straight away LOL . Frustrating me so much but we will see.

No offense. Istanbul was a fantastic night not only for the result. But the fact Liverpool basically invaded the stadium. Full of our fans. Atmosphere there was even better. I was at Istanbul with my step cousin, and he was at Moscow last night & rang me saying that Istanbul was far superior atmosphere. Due to the emotion of the comeback like yours was in 99' my friend.

Thats what makes it even more special we won with such a originary set of players like you said. TEAM GAME!?

Dont even try to compare your night to ours. Both special in there own ways. God I congratulate you on winning the trophy but then you get stupid comments make by yourself. Again you deserve to win the premiership & Champions league. Well done, but jeezus. Pfft.

I dont know the answer to that question. Does that make me not a supporter. Season ticket holder for 7 years?

Well no offense Sean. Rafa rotation system and the stats of him changing so many players makes it hard to answer that question for me. I couldnt even guess a player. I actually am interested in knowing who it is pal?

Id love for us to buy Huntelaar. But I just cannot see it happening. Ajax want around 25 Million Euro's for this lad. But we shall see. Now all the leagues are starting to finish. You will see Rafa buying players & selling.

Id prefer playing Babel. Bentley I would be happy with on the right for us. Dossena i dont know anything about. And the chances of us signing Villa, is very slim indeed. But he is my personal wish list buy. As well as Huntelaar. Just another class striker would instantly make us more of a threat going forward obviously.

Hicks is looking to Partner with Bush

    by LFCno#1 May 18, 2008 17:57
El Nino Markie El Nino Markie May 18, 2008 20:44 Flag

I will clear the air on this topic. Hicks wants Bush to buy majority shares in Dallas Cowboys because before Hicks taken over them, Bush owned them. So by doing that he has the money to buy out Gilette stake at Liverpool.
