  • I'm looking at the TV listings for British Eurosport 1&2, and neither of them are going to be showing the Wuxi Classic snooker semi-finals or final live, despite having shown all the other sessions live all week. What the hell is that all about?

I restarted my cable TV service purely because it has Eurosport 1&2, who seem to have the rights to pretty much every snooker tournament throughout the year. But when they do show matches, they often randomly go off to other sports, or they often don't show the programme from when it was scheduled (7pm should have been Wuxi Classic, but was actually 7pm Eurosport news then 7:10pm Wuxi Classic - would it have been that hard to put that in the schedules?). And now it seems that they won't be showing the semis or the final live at all.

I don't know if the Eurosport player might be an option, but I don't see why I should have to pay more each month on top of my cable TV bill, and I don't fancy watching snooker on my PC or iPod Touch anyway.

What on earth is that bloody noise?

Yeah it's really annoying. Like they are running there hands all over the microphones or something. Everything about Eurosport is so amateurish.

  • I'm a big snooker fan, but I only have Freeview, as I can't afford to be paying a large digital TV subscription for British Eurosport.

Then I discovered Eurosport Player, which seems to be £3.99/month on a rolling contract. So I'm wondering how it works exactly.

Eurosport seems to have the rights to pretty much every snooker tournament going, so would Eurosport Player give me access to both British Eurosport 1 and 2?

And would I maybe even be able to continue watching a live snooker match even if the Eurosport channel switched to something else mid-match, which I found they often used to do?

  • Unbelievable. What was the point in sacking him?? So we get another manager in, have lots of average performances, and sack him after six months, and so it goes on...we are never going to have any consistency at this rate. It's depressing.

  • Big Sam quote : "We need three or four solid, very, very good defenders from wherever it may be, and we will be a force this year."

I'm been waiting my entire life for a Newcastle manager to say that! :D

I think it's a great signing myself, he looks like an exciting player. Yes we've already got a lot of midfielders, but you know what Newcastle is like when it comes to injuries, pretty much all over the pitch. And Roeder has said he's after more players, including strikers. I'm pretty confident about this coming season myself. Top 6 finish and the UEFA and FA cup will do me nicely!
