Leeds United Message Board
Well it's been a painful week to be a blue. Absolutely gutted about Mancini being axed as are 90 percent of blues. We can handle the cup defeat as Wigan thoroughly deserved it and we didn't turn up. We loved Bobby Manc as we call him at our club. He's made mistakes but which managers haven#$%$ the snakes behind the scenes that have done this. Brian Marwood in particular. It makes you sick when the people upstairs #$%$ about with your club. I don't need to remind you all about that as it has buggered your fine club up for the last five years or so.
Anyway, good luck to you all next year including Alan and The Pool. It was strange watching Hull the other day as I kept wondering whether easy was biting his nails off. Turns out the Leeds lads helped him out big time. Is he a peacock or a tiger as Andy rightly questions? Come on Easy come clean.

Look on the bright side lads. You don't share a city with tossers who very rarely go and have never been anywhere watching their team but harp on about you forever being in their shadow. Arrogant doesn't do them justice. Wearing a shirt in a pub or club means you're a top fan apparently. They have the cheek to call us bitter blues. They rubbish anyone who challenges them. I'm sorry I have I have plenty of rag mates but I've had my fill this week. I hope you get back up next year Andrew, Brian etc. and the Pool obviously Alan. I don't bother with City boards as they get hijacked by reds and to be fair vice versa. I've got a lot of time for your lot. Good luck next season.

I don't think so Tom. Hammering them on Monday would be nice though. Apparently we're another Blackburn. I love United fans. So full of grace and wit.

You'll be back Lotto. Just a bad time to be a Leeds fan at the moment. Around our way it's always been once a blue always a blue even when we were #$%$. Leeds fans are the same. They'll stick with it no matter what. Once a certain someone is no longer associated with the club in any way shape or form I'm sure some decent backers will eventually come along. At the moment I think he probably puts people off investing.

That takes me back to Edgeley Park a few years back. We got beat 3-1 by County and them two chants were sung throughout the second half. I was absolutely devastated. The rags had a field day and the few County fans I knew also.Seems like a lifetime ago now. Us where we are now and County out of the league. Part of me misses those days though in a strange way. Being #$%$ and gallows humour was in our make up. I'd rather be where we are now though in truth. Don't give up Lotto. Who knows what's around the corner. Every dog has its' day as they say.

I expected more of a scrap than that today. Leeds not helped by a ridiculous penalty but aside from that you didn't offer much at all. I can see why you want Warnock out now. Getting Adkins in now would make sense as Bryan says.

I couldn't agree more Bryan. Though my club have profited and to be fair the new owners are regenerating the area surrounding the stadium. I still think football has lost it's soul. It is more a case of the haves and the have nots. It's not my football club any longer but a global brand.

Too true Bryan. It's eleven versus eleven and things aren't too rosy in our camp so let's see what happens. I won't patronise you I just want us to win by whatever amount. Leeds are still Leeds and I used to love these games. Your team aren't up to much at the moment but will always be up there in my eyes as a club. Enjoy the game....but not too much.

Sorry lads wasn't meant as a wind up. I can understand your frustration. You're going nowhere fast at the moment. In fact since I've been visiting you lot on here nothing positive has really happened. Until Bates is off the scene completely I think everyone is resigned to the fact this will continue.

Look on the bright side you still have the FA cup to go for. After our latest abject failure at Southampton who knows what will happen. We are taking a mighty amount of stick from the rags with many calling us another Blackburn. They are a gracious bunch.
I'm not moaning too much though as I know how lucky we are compared to many. I think mid-table mediocrity is where you all expect this season to end. Disappointing yet again.

He scored two goals at my first City game v Birmingham City who had a young Trevor Francis up front and Kenny Burns as captain. I just missed the great Leeds side but obviously saw the one that last won Division One before the Premiership began. We beat you in the run in about 4 nil and although happy to win thought we had helped United to the title. Fortunately that wasn't the case and you went on to win it.

Well I never knew that Alan. Peter Murphy of Birmingham City was born in West Hartlepool. It's like a history lesson coming on this board. I may even become knowledgeable. I very much doubt it though. I googled it of course.

On the downside tonight after dropping 2 points at Loftus Road. I was gobsmacked how many blues were moaning on twitter. With success comes glory hunting arseholes who expect to win every game. It was pretty balanced with proper blues chastising them for getting like rag fans.
It's brilliant supporting City at present but football has changed so much in the last few years. Garry Cook who eventually fell on his sword was instrumental in getting the Abu Dhabi millions for us. They were looking at several clubs including Newcastle and Everton. Apparently he worked tirelessly promoting the club and potential. He was a bit arrogant and occasionally embarrassing but did a great job for us. Leeds really need someone to do this for them now as the revenue from fans in Asia and worldwide is like never before. It's probably the worst time to be out of the premiership. There is footage on youtube of a coach full of Indonesians singing City songs. The irony of listening to them finishing with a rendition of Manchester is blue is priceless.
There are often conspiracy theories banded about but I must admit as an outsider looking in I honestly believe Bates has no interest in promoting the name, the history or potential of Leeds United. Anyway I've invaded your forum a bit too much lately. I'll leave you to discuss all things Leeds and probably drop by after the cup game.

Cheers Tom I enjoyed reading that. Up until Di Matteos goal against Middlesbrough I think Newcastle scored the fastest cup final goal in our 3-1 loss to them in 55.
As Alan said it should be a great occasion. I always loved home games against Leeds.

To be fair it was drummed into you to dislike Leeds. They were successful then and with success comes jealousy. You always got a bum deal with the media I thought.
One of my low points supporting City was at Elland Road years ago. They wheeled Revie onto the pitch when he was well into his illness and far too may fellow city fans gave him stick. I found it quite sickening. As you stated he actually played for us and won silverware. After the game a fair few bricks were launched over the wall at us. Hardly surprising really as he is revered in Leeds.
Anyway may the best team win.
Oh and easy I would be surprised if you gained promotion. Far too inconsistent. Strange how they can turn it on one day then terrible the next. Stranger things have happened though. Like the rags surrendering an eight point lead last year. You never know.
- The Dunster The Dunster Jan 28, 2013 00:18 Flag
Let's face it we should win but you never know. I never take anything for granted after where we've come from. Funny thing is I used to bloody hate Leeds until a chance meeting with a couple of coach loads in a pub in Northampton whilst on the way to Millwall. We both have idiots but far more who love the game and love their club. Anyway less of the love in I hope we bloody batter you. You can then concentrate on promotion.

It has been mentioned that one thing is for certain. You won't be singing United songs like the pillocks from Watford did a couple of rounds ago.
