I think we should use Jose's tactics against him. Defend but try to steel a win on the counter. Definitely don't go all out for the win. My guess is that Moureen still, rightly, sees City as his main rival and that he can not afford to lose points at home. This might make Chelsea more adventurous, if that is ever a right word for a Moureen team. A draw would not be a bad result for us IMO.

To bad we don't have a number of our best players available (Will Theo ever get back to his former speedy self?) and too bad Giroud looked tired and out of it against Spurs. Perhaps the rumors are true that his wife wants him to go back to France. Would not bother me a lot.

  • You can check Butch's post history on the Yahoo articles and you'll see this little gem "Hey, Kel, where you been? The United and Arsenal boards are still going, the URLs have changed though. They won't let you post links here, but if you take the first part of the URL above, to the first forward slash, then add this ...... /mb/?bn=UKS-FO-manchester-united .... you'll get to the United board, just change the team's name at the end to get the other boards."

Heeheeheehee lick, lick, slurp slurp, help me please!!! Hahahahahahahahahahahaahaha!!!

LMFAO - and his West Ham 'friend' still hasn't turned up to help the old orungutan fiddler out!

It says it all really, Butchy no mates!

    Moyes - The Fall Out....

    by Baldrick Mar 18, 2014 10:40

    Easy tiger!

Moyes is doing a great job at Man U, don't knock him!

    LMFAO!!!

    OINK OINK!

  • Seems like only yesterday, poor old Wenger was getting pilloried for his teams performance, and Arsenal held up as a joke. How quickly things and circumstances change in football. Now it's 'poor' David Moyes receiving some of the same treatment dished out to Wenger. If AW doesn't sign a new contract, it will not be for want of anything but a piece of silver ware, and that's now down to our team. The end of this season will certainly be sweaty palms time, that's for sure....exciting though. Having said all of that, I do feel for the man Moyes; as I did for Wenger......If Moyes is a dyed in the wool football man, then it must be torment, as it was for 'the man' Wenger.....but you make your own choices and have to live by them.

The absence of Willan and Ramirez, two of Mourinho's willing runners from midfield, should be a major confidence boost for Arsenal ahead of our visit to Stamford Bridge on Sunday. The unavailability of the duo for Sunday's game will hamper Mourinho tactically imo - I'm thinking of the way Jose caught Man City napping at the Etihad in the league encounter between the two sides. Both Willan and Ramirez were instrumental to Chelsea's harrying and keeping City under pressure for the full 90 minutes tactics, this is good news for us as we've been susceptible to such tactics too in the past.

Cont....Will KOsc and Mertesaker be strong enough to keep the Chelski lot quiet? A draw is the easy bet i reckon, but we have to hope we can nick this surely? Just so long as Sczesney (whatever) manages to get through a whole game without dropping an almighty clanger.

  • Arsenals CB pairing are arguably the best in the Prem today and have certainly helped the clubs points tally thus far. Chelski loom this coming weekend and i wonder what Moaning Maureens tactics will be, taking into consideration his lack of a productive striker. Will Jose revert to the tried and tested 'parking of thy bus', even when the Chelski allstars are at home i wonder?
A BIG game in every sense. A winner takes all scenario almost surely?
Where have all our players gone!?!?

    No Flamini against Spurs!!!

    by Govinda Mar 16, 2014 16:00

Now that 'thumping' just reminds me. I see no sign of the likes of Erik Cuntona Le Poof, or any of the other Manure slugs that used to have 'so much fun' with Arsene Wenger, and Arsenal supporters here. They seem to have dried up all of a sudden.......Could it be something someone said. We know how sensitive Manure supporters can be. Unless of course they are giving 'sound advise' to D Moyes on their board, like 'shoot the Dutchman, and dock Rooneys pay packet. Oh my God, how they must regret giving him the keys to their savings box, so he can help himself.......What's happening to them now, is something we warned them about long ago when they were on a roll, how quickly it can all turn around and bite them in the #$%$. I remember telling them that we(Arsenal) will have our day.....do you think they are listening now???

Looked like a nervous game to me. We know our lot can play. The defence was steadfast enough to ride this one out. A good, extremely important win. Not only has it kept our lads in the race, it has helped consign Spurs to another year of Europa cup, at best.
On a lighter note....ManUseless got THUMPED! AGAIN!!!

We played bad, but we defended very well, and had a bit of luck, a year or so ago we would have lost this game, and the passing was bad, kept giving it back to them!. The main thing is we won, even ugly, love to see us play well, but am happy for the team, and keeps us in the race.

My own thoughts entirely Govinda. Its beyond 'bad luck' now. Just go back through the last 3 seasons or so, and it becomes clear that Arsene or Arsenal have just got a jinx with injuries. I mean it was bad enough having the Dutch dodgy ankle keeping him out almost permanently sometimes. Then we have busted ankles and legs everywhere. Had we not sustained such catastrophic injury lists we would have assuredly won something. Having said that, AW did so well under the circumstances, and IMO still is. This Spurs game will fall apart with the intensity, I think, if we cant keep control, and calm. Because sure as hell they will be doing their best to upset us....that's plan A. Plan B will be will all be down to luck, and we haven't had much of that lately, and who gets the first Red card......:)

You forgot to mention me or piggy, oh Dodgy one, how can you be infatuated with people if you don't mention them?

  • Finally confirmed then, Bendtner is an out and out nutter. Lets hope Moyes puts in a bid to add him to his squad of misfits.

Winning against Spurs would go a long way towards securing 4th. We are lucky they played on Thursday but what is it with all our injuries. It is hard to believe they are all the result of bad luck.
Wilshire, Ramsey, Theo, Ozil (no point in mentioning Diaby.)

The mind boggles that in the modern game a player is aloud to injure himself after a few minutes but continue to finish the 45 minutes. Unless that rumor is nonsense.

I have done my hamstring, and you know when you have done it or are in the process of doing it. Stopping as soon as you feel that twitch reduces the recovery time greatly.
