60 seconds with Ben Youngs

The Leicester and England scrum-half tells all about being smashed by Bakkies Botha and compared to Harry Potter in our quickfire interview.

Eurosport

If you hadn't been a rugby player, what career would you have had instead?

I would probably be travelling around the world, still bumming around trying to persuade my parents to put more money into my bank account!

What was your first car?

A Ford Focus 1.6. Diesel.

Who was your sporting hero?

Obviously Wilko, but also (legendary All Blacks full-back) Christian Cullen. He used to just run and make attacking look so easy, which I admired so much.

What is the greatest song ever recorded?

'You're The Voice' by John Farnham. That's a great song.

Who has been your toughest opponent?

Bakkies Botha, the South African second row. A complete mute. I've been smashed by him a few times. I've never spoken to him off the pitch. I've been smashed by a fair few players but he hit me the hardest and I've never had a beer with him after. He's too scary!

What's your TV guilty pleasure?

Love a bit of TOWIE. I don't really have much choice. My missus puts it on, but I secretly love it.

If somebody made a film of your life, which actor would you like to play you?

People say I look like Daniel Radcliffe, but I really don't agree with that. I'd go for someone like Ashton Kutcher, which sounds a lot cooler.

60 seconds prefers the Radcliffe comparison. What is your favourite sport apart from rugby?

Obviously football is up there, but I'm also a big fan of athletics. I'm a Norwich City fan. I was hoping Paul Lambert would still be there next season, but you can see why so many clubs wanted to get hold of him, and now he's gone to Villa.

If you could throw a dinner party for three guests from any period in time, dead or alive, who would they be?

I would have Peter Kay, Julius Caesar and... probably just another one of my mates. Probably my cousin, Bruce.

What would you cook for them?

Just a massive roast. In fact I can just get my mum in to do it.
