If you hadn't been a footballer, what career would you have had instead?

An accountant.

What was your first car?

A Fiat.

What is the greatest song ever recorded?

Ooh… The Beatles, She Loves You.

What's your TV guilty pleasure?

Coronation Street.

If somebody made a film of your life, which actor would you like to play you?

Not a clue... Clint Eastwood.

What's the nicest place you've ever visited?

I've been to the Caribbean a few times, so it would probably be that. I've had some holidays out there with a nice beach and bar, that's what I like.

If you could throw a dinner party for some guests from any period in time, dead or alive, who would they be?

Nelson Mandela, Phil Mickelson and somebody from the modern day, Lionel Messi.

What would you cook for them?

They'd get steak and chips like everyone else who comes round!

What is your favourite sport apart from football?

Golf.

Are you looking forward to the Olympics, and have you got tickets?

No, I haven't got any tickets. I think it's a southern thing, really, and we don't get down there much. I'll leave it to you southern boys... I'll just be watching on the telly.
