Alexis Davis vs. Rosi Sexton Added to UFC 161

Alexis Davis Debuts in the Octagon at UFC 161 in Winnipeg, Where Her Career Began

A women’s bantamweight bout has been added to the UFC 161 fight card.

UFC officialson Thursday announced that Alexis Davis will face Rosi Sexton on June 15 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Canadian born Davis (13-5) has won five of her last six fights and holds wins over highly regarded fighters Julie Kedzie, Amanda Nunes, and Shayna Baszler. She is considered one of the top female fighters at 135 pounds.

Sexton (13-2) is on a three-fight win streak and is also considered one of the best female bantamweights in the world. She holds wins over Roxanne Modafferi, Debi Purcell, and most recently defeated Aisling Daly. The Brit has only lost to Gina Carano and Zoila Frausto Gurgel.

UFC 161 takes place at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg and is headlined by UFC interim bantamweight titleholder Renan Barao against Eddie Wineland.
