Barnet boss Allen wants happy ending

Martin Allen

Barnet boss Martin Allen has called for one final push from his players to save their Football League status.

The Bees crashed to a 3-0 defeat at Southend in Allen's first match back in charge and they remain third from bottom, just two points above the drop zone.

Next up is a visit from AFC Wimbledon before a final-day trip to Burton, both of whom have nothing left to play for.

But Allen is expecting a marked improvement on the performance at Roots Hall if his side are going to get across the line.

"I'm not going to blame any individual publicly about their performance, we are a team and I will review the performance as a whole," said Allen

"We have two games left of the season where we really need to push on and make sure we stay in this division."
