The 20-year-old has signed a two-year contract at the Liberty Stadium and becomes Michael Laudrup's sixth signing following the acquisitions of Michu, Chico Flores, Jonathan de Guzman, Itay Shechter and Kyle Bartley.

Swansea are awaiting international clearance for the move, and Proctor will initially join the club's Under-21 set-up, and is set to feature in their season-opener on Monday.

He told the club website: "I'm delighted to join Swansea. The club has enjoyed a lot of success over the last few years and their style of football has really caught the eye."

Earlier, the Swans completed the signing of defender Kyle Bartley from Arsenal. The 21-year-old joined Michael Laudrup's side on a three-year deal.

Speaking to Swansea's official website, he said: "I spoke to Arsene Wenger briefly last week and he said that my game-time would be at a minimum. For that reason, I wanted to at least go out on loan but when Swansea came in for me it was too good an opportunity to turn down."
