Brentford have made an improved contract offer to top scorer Sam Saunders.
The 28-year-old former Dagenham midfielder has been in fine form this season and has found the net six times, but his current deal at Griffin Park expires at the end of the season.
Boss Uwe Rosler is hopeful Saunders will agree new terms to extend his stay with the west Londoners, telling the Hounslow Chronicle: "We've made Sam an improved contract offer and are waiting for him to come back to us."
He added: "The talks we've had were positive and we've made what we think is a good offer to him."
