Rose won the belt outright in December with a win over Sam Webb, and the 27-year-old says he believes he can move onto hunting World honours under new promoter Hearn.

“I want to follow in the footsteps of Kell Brook and Carl Froch and fight for World titles,” said Rose.

“I want to be a World champion and that is what I have seen him do with those lads and I think Eddie can progress me from a British champion to a World champion.

“I think Eddie is the best promoter in Britain, I think that is proven. I am not saying I am going to give the British title up because there is no need for me to just yet, but of course if I got a bigger fight, and that is how we are going to progress, then that is what I would do.

“At British level I have kind of cleared up. I boxed Prince Arron, I have boxed Max Maxwell, Kris Carslaw and then Sam Webb; I have had four British title fights and it is a lot, but I wanted to own that belt outright. Now that I own the belt I want to move on and Eddie is the man for the job.”

Rose’s first fight with the firm will be announced soon, and the Blackpool fighter is excited about the prospect of fighting on the cards of his new stable-mates as well as headlining shows in his hometown.

“Ideally I want to be topping the bill when I fight but it would be an absolute honour to fight on the same bill as Brook, Froch and other World champions,” said Rose.

“I have seen those big bills and I have been to a couple and they are brilliant, they are well put on shows and I am eager to be on those bills. It is something I can’t wait to do.

“I want to follow the lads like Tony Bellew and Brook and that is why I have signed with Eddie.

" I can’t say too much at the moment about how we are going to do things and what titles we are aiming for but I think most people have an idea of what I am going to do and it will be the same sort of thing that Bellew and Brook have done. Hopefully Eddie can do that for me.”
