Brazilian Commission Drug Tests Every UFC Fight Night 61 Fighter

The Brazilian Athletic Commission of MMA (CABMMA) released the drug test results stemming from UFC Fight Night 61: Bigfoot vs. Mir on Friday. All 22 fighters on the Feb. 22 fight card were tested.

“The Brazilian Athletic Commission of MMA (CABMMA) reports that all fighters were subjected to doping control tests to detect the presence of anabolic agents, diuretics/masking agents, stimulants and cannabinoids at UFC Fight Night: Big Foot x Mir, held in Porto Alegre/RS on February 22, 2015. To six randomly selected athletes were included tests for erythropoietin (EPO),” read a statement released by the commission.

“All fighters showed negative results in their respective examinations,” the report revealed. “The Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission (CABMMA) has carried out all the tests in a laboratory accredited by WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency).”

Former heavyweight champion Frank Mir defeated Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva by knockout in the fight card’s main event. The event aired on Fox Sports 1.
