Broad says England can be 'the best' by beating 'ultimate yardstick' Proteas

London, Sept 19 (ANI): England bowler Stuart Broad has called South Africa as the 'ultimate yardstick' for England and said that the team must beat the African nation to be the best in the world. Ahead of the return Ashes series in November, the seamer believes that England will not be regarded as the best in the world again until they beat the team who usurped them at the top of the Test rankings when they won 2-0 in England last summer. According to Metro.co.uk, Broad believes that South Africa is the best team in the world, adding that he does not think that England can class themselves as the best until they play South Africa, which unfortunately would not be till 2015/16. Stating that England can be the No.1 team if they win the Ashes in Australia, Broad also said that his side's next stepping stone to be the best team in the world has to be by beating South Africa wherever they play them.
