Chelsea are held to scoreless draw by West Ham at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea were held to a scoreless draw at home to relegation strugglers West Ham tonight.

It was 0-0 at half-time at Stamford Bridge in a game where Chelsea dominated possession but could not hit the net.

Chelsea had the chance tonight to move into second place in the table and go above Arsenal yet they had to take all three points on offer to do so.

Brazilian playmaker Oscar came closest to scoring in the first half for Chelsea, who visit City on Monday, with a shot that was touched onto the crossbar by West Ham goalkeeper Adrian.

Adrian also saved well from John Terry and Samuel Eto’o, while Demba Ba hit the post deep into stoppage time as Chelsea laid siege to the visitors’ goal in vain.
