Chris Camozzi Draws Rafael Natal at UFC on FX 8 with Cezar Ferreira Out

Costa Philippou Out at UFC on FX 8, Chris Camozzi Steps Up to Face Jacare

Originally a replacement for CB Dollaway at UFC on FX 8, Chris Camozzi drew a new opponent on Saturday.

TUF Brazil winner Cezar “Mutante” Ferreira is out due to a training injury, and will be replaced by Rafael Natal, according to a blog post by Camozzi.

“For those of you that have not heard yet, I stepped in to replace CB Dollaway and fight TUF Brazil winner Cezar Mutante on the UFC on FX8 main card,” he wrote.

“I was just notified (Saturday) that Cezar suffered a training injury and my new opponent would be Rafael Natal. I don’t care who I fight, I’m just looking to build my record and make money for my new family and show the UFC they can count on me when they need me.

“Natal lobbied on twitter to fight me after UFC 158 and it looks like he gets his wish. See you in Brazil.”

Camozzi (19-5) is on a four-fight winning streak. He won a decision over Nick Ring in his last outing on March 16 at UFC 158: St-Pierre vs. Diaz. Prior to win over Ring, he earned a decision victory over Luiz Cane and finished Justin Jacoby and Nick Catone.

Natal (15-4-1) comes into the fight having won his most recent outing, defeating Sean Spencer at UFC on Fox 6 in January.
