Sydney, Nov 10 (ANI): Australian Test captain Michael Clarke has said that his New South Wales teammate David Warner can do 'no more' to push his selection for the winter Ashes as he is 'just playing beautifully'.
Warner recorded a searing unbeaten half-century in an ultimately fruitless run chase at the MCG on Saturday during the Sheffield Shield conclusion.
According to News.com.au, Clarke backed Warner for the Ashes, saying that Warner is in 'good nick' and has done everything in his power to push for selection, especially by scoring four hundreds in a month, adding that it does not matter what form of the game he has made the scores in.
The report mentioned that after Warner's likely national opening partner Chris Rogers also notched 200-plus runs in the match, Australia's top order looks suddenly promising with the first Ashes Test less than two weeks away. (ANI)
