Claudia Gadelha Draws Joanna Jedrzejczyk at UFC on FOX 13

A women's strawweight bout between two undefeated fighters has been slated for UFC on FOX 13.

UFC officials on Friday confirmed a bout between Claudia Gadelha an Joanna Jedrzejczyk for the promotion's Dec. 13 return to “Big FOX” from the US Airways Center in Phoenix. The bout was first reported by Polish site MMANews.

Gadelha (12-0) was considered to be a favorite to win the inaugural 115-pound strap, but she opted out of competing on twentieth season of The Ultimate Fighter, which will crown the UFC's first champion in the division. Instead, Gadelha stepped immediately into the Octagon, where she won a unanimous decision over Tina Lahdemaki at UFC Fight Night: Cerrone vs. Miller in July.

She'll try to continue her unbeaten streak and remain the top contender outside of TUF 20 when she faces Jedrzejczyk.

The Polish 115-pounder is also undefeated, however, and looking to put her name in the running to become the first challenger to whomever wins the inaugural strawweight belt. Like Gadelha, she already has made one trip to the Octagon, defeating Juliana de Lima Carneiro at UFC on FOX 12.

A heavyweight clash between former champion Junior dos Santos and Stipe Miocic headlines the UFC on FOX 13 card in Phoenix.
