UFC officials on Wednesday announced that Holohan would be shipping up to Boston, where he will face Shane Howell in a flyweight match-up.

Holohan (10-1-1) is coming off of the first loss of his career, losing to Chris Kelades at the UFC’s debut event in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, in early October.

The fight with Howell will be Holohan’s third at 125 pounds. He made his flyweight debut by defeating Josh Sampo in his Octagon debut at UFC Fight Night 46 in Dublin.

Howell (13-8) will be making his sophomore appearance in the Octagon, having lost to rising star Ray Borg in his debut. He’s hoping to start a new winning streak after Borg ended a six-fight stretch of victories.
