Tillakaratne Dilshan hit an explosive 54 on day one

The opener hit nine fours in a 63-ball 54 while Kumar Sangakkara made an unbeaten 44 as Sri Lanka, scoring at more than five runs an over after winning the toss and opting to bat, reached lunch on the first day on 132 for one.

Dilshan was the only wicket to fall, caught at mid-on by Mominul Haque off the bowling of Sohag Gazi with the total on 114, and his departure saw the return to the wicket of his opening partner Dimuth Karunaratne.

Karunaratne had been forced off for treatment after being struck on the elbow but he was able to resume his innings following Dilshan's dismissal and he reached lunch unbeaten on 20.
