Twin explosions hit the region, where the sides are due to travel to after the current Test in Chennai is over, killing at least people 12 on Thursday. Sutherland is clear that his organisation will be carefully monitoring the security arrangements but does not currently anticipate any alterations.
"We were very concerned to hear the news. The management side will liaise with the relevant authorities in the next few days and make any assessments," said Sutherland.
"We'll work closely with the relevant authorities and take our own advice on that, but I think it's premature to be making any assessments (now).
"From where I sit right now, my expectation is that everything will go ahead in Hyderabad as planned."
Asked if the tourists' security detail would be beefed up as a result of recent events, Sutherland added: "We're very comfortable.
"Talking to our security guys, everything (with the team) has gone to plan.
"We do our own security assessments and liaise with the relevant authorities well ahead of a tour. Everything is mapped out carefully and planned."
