Daron Cruickshank vs. KJ Noons Added to TUF 20 Finale Fight Card

Lightweights Daron Cruickshank and K.J. Noons have agreed to fight to meet at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale on Dec. 12 in Las Vegas.

UFC officials announced the bout on Thursday.

Cruickshank (16-5) has won three of his last four bouts, all four of them taking place in 2014, making him one of the UFC’s busiest fighters this side of Donald Cerrone. His successes this year include a victory over Erik Koch, and most recently, a unanimous decision over Anthony Njokuani last week in Canada.

Cruickshank is currently amidst one of the best stretches of his UFC tenure. A win over Noons would certainly propel him into the upper echelon of the division, perhaps giving him the momentum he needs to make a run towards a title shot.

Noons (13-7) stumbled out of the gate, losing to Cerrone in his Octagon debut last year. He has since rebounded with two strong performances: a unanimous decision victory over George Sotiropoulus and a knockout of Sam Stout earlier this year.

Much like Cruickshank, this fight is an opportunity for Noons to cement his roster spot and make a run towards the top of the 155-pound division.

The TUF 20 Finale will crown the UFC’s first women’s strawweight champion.
