Delecour, 49, contested Giru di Corsica-Tour de Corse last month in a Renault Mégane RS and was a podium finisher in both the IRC Production Cup and IRC 2WD Cup. He is set to switch to a Peugeot 207 Super 2000 for the mainly gravel round from 20-22 July when he will be targeting overall victory.
“There are still some details to complete but if I do the rally it will be in a Peugeot and I will be aiming to win,” said Delecour, who is supported by Romanian backers.
“The car is very well balanced and Romania is like a second home to me.”
