Doncaster forward El-Hadji Diouf is facing a month on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
Senegal international Diouf missed Tuesday night's 3-2 defeat at Millwall with the problem and scans have confirmed he is around four weeks away from a return to action.
The 30-year-old attacker is the latest addition to a lengthy injury list at the Keepmoat Stadium.
Pascal Chimbonda, Shelton Martis and Chris Brown among the walking wounded, and at one stage in the build-up to the midweek trip to London, boss Dean Saunders was down to 14 fully-fit first-team players.
Diouf's current deal with Doncaster expires in January, although reports on Thursday suggested he had agreed to stay until the end of the season with an extension ready to be signed.
Since joining on a free transfer following his summer release by Blackburn, Diouf has proved to be a popular figure at Rovers, bagging a brace in the 3-2 win over Ipswich and being handed the captaincy in the absence of skipper George Friend for last weekend's goalless draw with Watford.
