First-half goals from Charlie MacDonald and Shaun Williams - either side of Kevin Lisbie's equaliser - plus late strikes from Jabo Ibehre and Daniel Powell ensured a convincing victory for the Dons.

MacDonald gave them a dream start when he turned in Mathias Doumbe's low cross at the near post after only three minutes.

Lisbie equalised for Orient after 13 minutes, bundling in Jamal Campbell-Ryce's corner from a yard as the Dons appealed in vain for a foul on keeper David Martin.

But Williams restored the Dons' lead 10 minutes later when he stole in unmarked to head home Jay O'Shea's pin-point cross.

Substitute Ibehre made it 3-1 when he tapped in MacDonald's parried shot from close range before Powell netted a superb solo goal to seal the rout six minutes from the end.

Chris Powell's Charlton ended a run of three games without a win at the top of League One with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Yeovil at The Valley.

Dany N'Guessan eased any home nerves by putting his side in front after just seven minutes, and second-half strikes from Bradley Wright-Phillips and Darel Russell helped the Addicks home.

Dave Jones' Sheffield Wednesday lost ground after they were fortunate to escape with a point in a 2-2 home draw with lowly Walsall.

The Saddlers twice led through Jonathan Macken and Jamie Paterson, and despite Ryan Lowe's effort the Owls looked to be heading for defeat until Gary Madine fired an injury-time equaliser.

Wycombe picked up three huge points in the battle to avoid relegation from League One with a comfortable 3-1 win at Exeter.

Bury's winless streak was extended to 12 games following a 0-0 draw with 10-man Scunthorpe in a tense survival battle.

Carlisle and Preston fought out a fast and furious goalless draw in a feisty Brunton Park contest - the second time the two sides have drawn this season.

Stevenage also drew a blank in their 0-0 home draw with Colchester after having Jordan Slew sent off in the first half.

Notts County were left to rue a diabolical first-half showing as Sheffield United were comfortable 5-2 winners at Meadow Lane.

Huddersfield kept up their promotion challenge as goals from Lee Novak and Jordan Rhodes clinched a 2-0 victory which pushed Chesterfield deeper into relegation trouble.

Wes Fogden's stunning 20-yard strike on the stroke of half-time earned Bournemouth a 1-0 victory over Brentford and their first success in eight matches.

Rochdale's relegation fears intensified as Tranmere continued their improvement under Ronnie Moore with a 2-0 victory over Rochdale at Spotland.

Goals from James Wallace and substitute Jake Cassidy gave Rovers the three points their performance deserved, leaving Dale five points adrift of safety in the League One drop zone.

Jean Ives Mvoto scored the only goal in a 1-0 win for Oldham at Hartlepool.
