Duminy says Proteas 'got away with murder' in rain-washed T20 win against Pak

Johannesburg, Nov 22 (ANI): South African all-rounder Jean-Paul Duminy has admitted that his team 'got away with murder' and will have to put in a much-improved performance following their four-run (Duckworth/Lewis Method) Twenty20 win against Pakistan on Wednesday. Duminy missed South Africa's home summer last season due to an Achilles' injury, and makes a return to the stadium he has called home for over 13 years. According to Sport24, Duminy said that they would be the first to admit that they all had performed below-par performance during the second T20 on Wednesday despite their victory, adding that they lost their way in the middle and towards the end. However, Duminy further said that his side had started off well and set up a good foundation up-front, adding that although it was still a competitive total, it was not what they would want in Johannesburg, a par score there is probably around 180 on a good wicket. Duminy also said that he would take result in any way it came, even with the rain coming in, they got away with murder. (ANI)
