More than 1,500 horses will walk the arenas of the Spanish town of as a series of international shows give riders the opportunity to prepare their horses for the beginning of the outdoor season.
The shows naturally attract a number of local riders, but also international competitors with the attraction of a three-star international event set to take place this week.
A total of 75 riders representing 12 nationalities have been registered, among them Spanish champion José Antonio Garcia Mena and a few top 50 pairs such as Beatriz Ferrer-Salat and Gonçalo Carvalho.
The highlight of the weekend will be the Grand Prix Special on Saturday and the Kür on Sunday.
This Spanish Tour continues next week with five weeks of three-star international jumping.
Some of the best riders in the world have already confirmed their presence, such as Olympic champion Steve Guerdat, Ireland's Cian O’Connor, British duo William Funnell and John Whitaker, and French riders Michel Robert, Julien Epaillard and Eugénie Angot.
