The Frenchman sailed around the course atop Castle Forbes Cosma in a time of 63 seconds, bettering the previous benchmark that had been set by young American Reed Kessler.
The 18-year-old US Olympian, riding Ligist, took the lead halfway through the event with an elegant round completed in 64.76 seconds.
Kessler ended in third place after Grégory Wathelet of Belgium zipped round on Kronos d'Ouilly to claim second after knocking down a rail on the second last fence.
"It is nice to be second when Bosty wins," Wathelet said. "He is the fastest rider in the world."
