Falcao tells Chelsea fans: The goals will come for me

Colombian striker promises to make a splash at Stamford Bridge after miserable season at Manchester United

One year on from his goalscoring pledge to Manchester United fans, Radamel Falcao has promised Chelsea supporters he will bag a hatful of goals this season.

The Colombian netted just four times for United last term and failed to hit the target on his Blues debut, the 1-0 Community Shield defeat to Arsenal.

But the 29-year-old is undaunted and vowed he will play a major part in a top-level Stamford Bridge strikeforce.

He said: "I don't feel under pressure to score and I'm calm. The goals will come.

"We have great strikers in this team like Diego Costa and Loic Remy who are excellent finishers.

"There will be healthy competition for places and the coach will decide who to pick but I have a lot of confidence in myself and feel very good."
