The Viola were still fuming on Wednesday after being snubbed by Berbatov during the transfer window, which saw the 31-year-old join Fulham from Manchester United.
The Serie A side claimed last week they had paid for Berbatov and his agent to fly to Italy on transfer deadline day before being gazumped, declaring their actions proved the player was not worthy to wear the club's shirt.
Berbatov reportedly got off the plane in Munich where he instead entered talks with Juventus and agreed a deal, only to pull out and return to England to sign for Fulham instead.
Fiorentina sporting director Daniel Prade has revealed he will pursue Emil Dantchev for the cost of the duo's airline tickets and other expenses.
"I’ve never seen anything like it. We want the airplane ticket refunded and will certainly demand that reimbursement from his agent," Prade told Radio Blu.
“In any case, Berbatov would’ve been the icing on the cake of an excellent transfer session, so we are happy as we are.
"I'm happy he did not arrive. We will request to his agent the money we paid for their flight to come to Florence, 100 per cent."
Berbatov himself has claimed that he "never made pledges" to any other club before signing for Fulham.
