The former Carlisle man has only played twice in March and has had to be taken off in the first half on both occasions with hamstring trouble.
But the 28-year-old has overcome that issue and is set to be available to feature at Valley Parade.
That trip comes too soon for midfielder Oliver Norburn who is sidelined with an ankle injury which forced him out of the 2-0 win over Port Vale.
Rovers boss John Ward, whose side have won four of their last five npower League Two games, remains without long-term injury absentees Matt Gill, Matt Harrold and Scott Beaven.
