Football - Baldwin blow for Pools

Hartlepool will be without injured defender Jack Baldwin for their home game with Yeovil.

Baldwin, playing in midfield in the goalless midweek draw with Colchester, sustained a knee injury in the first half and was replaced by Nathan Luscombe.

Manager John Hughes, who has no other new injury or suspension problems, must decide whether to hand Luscombe his first start of the season, while midfielder Antony Sweeney is pushing for a recall.

Sweeney had been sidelined since January with a knee injury before making a late appearance off the bench in midweek.

Another midfielder, Simon Walton, came through the full 90 minutes against Colchester unscathed after missing last Saturday's defeat at Doncaster with a back/hamstring problem.

Pools, seven points adrift of safety, are unbeaten in their last five home matches.
