The striker suffered an injury during the 2-1 defeat at Bristol Rovers and could be doubtful for Saturday's clash with leaders Port Vale.
But head coach Edgar Davids has revealed fellow forward Jake Hyde and midfielder Curtis Weston, who missed out on Friday night, should be fit by the weekend.
"Jake is doing well and I believe he will be back next week to face Port Vale, but I believe that we have played well in his absence," said Davids.
"Ricky Holmes fell awkwardly on his ankle and he will have a scan on Monday and Curtis Weston did not travel because he was ill."
