Brown led the bottom club to three victories from three games in April to keep their slim survival hopes alive.
The Dens Park club went into each game knowing they could be relegated but wins over Kilmarnock, St Mirren and Hearts kept them in with a chance of avoiding the drop.
Brown was a surprise choice to take over from Barry Smith on a short-term basis in February but Dundee have lost just once in eight SPL games since he took the helm, form which earned him a two-year contract extension last week.
Dundee have cut their deficit on St Mirren from 17 points when Brown took over to eight points with three games left.
They could go down without kicking a ball though, if St Mirren win at Hearts on Saturday ahead of Dundee's home game with Aberdeen on Sunday.
