Football - Colclough blow for Crewe

Crewe's teenage winger Ryan Colclough is set to undergo surgery and will spend between three and six weeks on the sidelines.

The youngster will go under the knife to rectify the discomfort he is feeling in his abdominal muscle, which the club believe may stem from the hip injury he sustained against Accrington in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

Manager Steve Davis told the club's official website: "Unfortunately Ryan is going to need an operation on his stomach, there is a tear in there that needs repairing and he will be out for three-six weeks and that is a blow."
