He has the option for a further year and the move will be completed subject to passing a medical which he has already undertaken.
The 30-year-old Irishman, who was given stick by Celtic fans all afternoon as the champions romped to a 4-0 win, said: "I have done a medical so I am just waiting to hear back on that, and if that is all okay then it should be done and dusted.
"I think they were quite pleased with the shape of me.
"They want to scan my right knee because of the problems I had with that so I don't think it is going to get read on Monday.
"So we will wait and see how that comes back.
"Obviously you expect it (the abuse) with the rivalry between the two clubs, it is obviously massive. But it was going in one ear and out the other."
