Football - Hendrick out for Rams

Jeff Hendrick looks likely to miss out for Derby when they host Brentford in Round 2 of the Capital One Cup.

PA Sport Report

An ankle knock saw Hendrick limp off after 64 minutes of the Rams' 3-0 league win at Yeovil on Saturday. The 21-year-old midfielder, who has started all five matches for Nigel Clough's team this season, has bruising around the ankle and will go for a scan within the next 24 hours.

Clough could take the opportunity to give some players a run out against the League One side at Pride Park.

Adam Smith, Ben Davies, Michael Jacobs and John Eustace all started in Round 1 at Oldham and it remains the only game any of the quartet have started this season.
