The attacker, who joined the club from Falkirk on the final day of the January 2012 transfer window, was set be at the John Smith's Stadium until the end of the current season.
However, both club and player have come to an agreement to end the deal early and he has since signed for Scottish Premiership side Partick.
Boss Mark Robins told the club's website: "He understandably wants to play regular first-team football at this stage of his career and that is not something we can offer him at Huddersfield.
"As a result, this course of action is in the best interests of both parties. He is now free agent to progress he career.
"We'd like to thank Kallum for his contribution and wish him the best of luck in the future."
