Saturday's 2-1 victory over Scunthorpe moved Howe's men into ninth place in npower League One and means they have now taken 24 points from a possible 30, as well as setting up an FA Cup third round tie at Wigan, since the manager's return in October.

And James, who saved Mike Grella's penalty in the first half at Glanford Park, believes the atmosphere at the eighth club of his 20-year career is up there with the best he has witnessed.

The former England keeper told the Bournemouth Daily Echo."When I first came to the club, I knew there was ability in the squad. More importantly, the camaraderie and togetherness is genuinely amazing.

"I have played for many teams over many seasons and I can't think of a better changing room than the one we have got at the moment, given the amount of changes.

"The dynamics in the squad are really good."
